Peace and Justice

Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Streams of Hope cares so deeply about our community that we are willing to commit to investing our time, talents, and resources into the people here. Because we believe this work belongs to everyone, we seek individual and organizational partners to help us build authentic community, create healthier families, and provide long-term solutions to our neighbors in the Townline community and across greater Grand Rapids.

This, in essence, is the work of Peace and Justice. It’s a way of thinking and acting that promotes long-term solutions to everyday problems, and an end to poverty. For people of faith, Peace and Justice is the work of God in and through us. We’ve been at this since 2005, which is why we’ve now designated Peace and Justice as a ministry area at Streams of Hope. As our P&J area develops, you’ll find information, resources, practices, encouragement, and prayers to support our efforts. We hope that, in the process, you’ll also find strength and joy in the journey toward wholeness God lays out for us all.
