Expanding Access to Quality Medical Care for our Neighbors
Streams of Hope has operated in the south end of Grand Rapids for over 12 years. We specialize in developmental programs that empower children and adults to create a better future for themselves and their families.
Our neighbors are hardworking and resilient, but they face many barriers to maintaining health and wellness. In the face of unemployment or underemployment, obtaining the medical care they need can be nearly impossible. Providing reduced-cost medical care allows our neighbors to thrive in all other areas of their lives.
Hear the Story
90% of families in the Townline neighborhood are eligible for federal assistance.
Within a one-mile radius of our campus there are over 20 different apartment complexes and mobile home parks.
Approximately 20% of our neighbors are food insecure.
Our Food Center serves a large refugee population and about half of our neighbors speak English as a second language.
Construction of a new medical clinic at Streams of Hope makes quality healthcare accessible to all of our neighbors.
A New Space
The new medical facility is a dedicated space for neighbors to receive professional support including vision, dental, and medical care. Plans include five medical exam rooms and six dental exam rooms in addition to a medical and dental lab. The educational flex space will allow us to increase the number of students we serve in our elementary tutoring program and provide space for the CirclesGR program. A beautiful lobby and reception area will welcome neighbors to the building.
