I have many passions.  Grandchildren and Streams of Hope are two topics at the top of my list.  So, when Christy Ingle from Matilda Jane Clothing approached me to host a fashion show fundraiser for Streams of Hope, I enthusiastically agreed since the company was willing to be very generous with the proceeds and I love to shop for my five granddaughters.

Matilda Jane encourages their “trunk keepers” to contribute a percentage of sales from a show twice a year and the company matches each dollar.  “As a community, Matilda Jane works with a purpose: to bring happiness into the lives of customers we adore and to Spread the Love to others as far as we can reach.”

Many young ladies and mothers participated in the show, all enjoying “walking the runway and twirling their pretty dresses” in front of an audience of approximately 100.  What a unique way to bring people together while learning about the ministry of Streams of Hope!

Amy Zwiep modeled along with her twin daughters, Eliana and Kylie.

“My daughters and I were thrilled to be in the Matilda Jane Fashion Show because the proceeds were allocated to benefit the children’s program at Streams of Hope.  I treasured the opportunity to share with my girls how the money raised would benefit others and offer the hope of Christ to people in our own neighborhood.”

Kaylie Nieboer and her daughter, Josie, also modeled.

“The Matilda Jane fundraiser gave the little girls the opportunity to ‘twirl’ and feel beautiful while giving everyone the opportunity to learn about what a powerful and positive organization Streams of Hope is in our community.  The love spread throughout the afternoon was contagious.”

This very special afternoon resulted in fellowship, awareness of what Streams of Hope does and raised funds to help support programs provided for underserved children. Thanks to all who came out and made it such a huge success!
